Jada Nehwah
Hi, my name is Jada!
Growing up I always wished that I could be a normal kid who had the same group of friends from elementary school until college, but that wasn't in the cards for me. I grew up on the East Coast and up North, going back and forth between schools, communities, and different environments. In the midst of all that I was sure that Jesus didn't want me, so I didn't want Him.
He never left
It wasn't until going to college and meeting some of my closest friends in Chi Alpha that I learned Jesus never left me. That in the midst of all the hurt, all the different things I endured, and the choices I made, I am still worthy of a life living for Christ — and that's the message and relationship I want others to experience. It's not over until He says it's over, and I'm excited to see the pages in other people's stories change like mine did.
There are not enough people on campus who are helping students experience Jesus for themselves, which is why God has put a real responsibility on my heart to reach the lost at Prairie View A&M University.
A team on every major HBCU
The team envisions that through Prairie View A&M Chi Alpha there will be a full-time ministry team at every major HBCU in America, each dedicated to making committed disciples that make committed disciples — transforming the Black community, the marketplace, and the world. This all begins with a genuine Christian community where students can see models and be encouraged to have a real devotional life, a real commitment to walk with God, and a real heart to see the same for others.
